Then he announces that Beartic is the missing Cubchoo, and that it must have evolved after it escaped! But when Beartic won’t return to Chris’s Poké Ball, it becomes clear that Cilan is wrong again.įinally, they spot Cubchoo when it comes running by, playing with a wild Larvitar! The two Pokémon are obviously good friends, and Cilan deduces that Larvitar must have figured out how to open the door to Cubchoo’s Pokémon house so they could play together. Cilan decides it must have taken Cubchoo, but Dawn points out that Beartic is far too big to fit through the tunnel.

Our heroes investigate and find a surprisingly tame Beartic eating Berries nearby. So.who will come to the rescue? Why, Connoisseur Detective Cilan, of course! After much questioning of the details surrounding the “case,” Cilan finds a small tunnel under the wall surrounding the Pokémon house, leading out to the forest. The boy tells them Cubchoo somehow got out of its Pokémon house overnight, although there’s only one door and Chris is sure he locked it from the outside. After Ash and Dawn have a practice battle that ends in a draw, a worried young neighbor named Chris comes by, looking for his lost Cubchoo. If a sequel or sequels to Pokémon X & Y had come to fruition, the Kalos era might have left a bigger impact in players' memories. Our heroes are staying at Cynthia’s house while they prepare for the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup. Why these plans were abandoned are unknown, but it's a shame to know that Gen VI didn't get the second pass it desperately needed.
POKEMON MYSTERIES SOLVED CODE
With the piece of source code now revealed, it's more than possible that Zygarde might have had its own third Kalos entry that simply never came to be. Fans found it strange that Zygarde, the third member in the trio of mascot legendaries for X & Y, didn't get its own game, instead promoted in Sun and Moon with a scavenger hunt to obtain its complete form. The case of Pokémon X and Y has been a curious one. The spree of franchise leaks seem to show no sign of stopping, with more tidbits being revealed and mysteries being solved as the ill-gotten goods keep popping up online. A cancelled Pokémon MMO for the Game Boy Advance was also unearthed. The source code for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl leaked this summer, uncovering beta sprites for a variety of gen 4 Pokémon. This year has seen a variety of Nintendo leaks, with lots of prototype assets and ideas being uncovered for Pokémon games, in particular. Among other things, the latest leak also contains beta maps and a character model resembling original Pokémon protagonist Red with an obviously significant amount of development time put into it, to the point where modders easily reconstructed it in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. This shows that, at some point, there were plans to make another game set in the Kalos region, but it was apparently scrapped for an unknown reason. Twitter user Lewtwo reported on a new leak coming from 4chan, showing an image of the games' code that includes a title called " calos_reserve" in between Gens VI and VII. Now, seven years after X and Y's Nintendo 3DS release, it's been revealed that it may have been originally planned to develop another game (or two) that would take place in Kalos. This was especially jarring considering the game that came before this was Pokémon Black & White 2, sequel games that were packed with content. Gen VI introduced the immensely powerful Mega Evolutions that gave some old Pokémon new life and made popular ones even more powerful, though X and Y were also criticized for having a lack of postgame content. This financial success continues with Sword and Shield, showing that Pokémon is a hotter item than ever before. Being on the extremely successful 3DS, the games sold immensely well. Pokémon X and Y were the first 3D handheld Pokémon games to be released for the main series. The sixth generation of Pokémon is one of the more divisive eras to many series fans, and this is in part due to Kalos never receiving a sequel or third " Z" version game like the other generations, but that may have not been Game Freak's or Nintendo's original plan. In the most recent Nintendo leak, the plans for cancelled sequels to Pokémon X and Y have been unearthed.
